What a difference a year makes...

Ok, first of all big apologies for being awol for so long. When I saw that it's actually been a year since I last posted I couldn't believe it, but it must be as another registration fee reminder has come through the post. The truth is I had completely lost my blogging buzz. So what's happened in a year?

My last post makes for difficult reading, remembering how unhappy I was in my decision to become a nurse, and it only got worse. A particularly harrowing experience one night shift left me having to take leave due to post-traumatic stress and anxiety. I was not in a good place at all, and I think it was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. Fast forward to today though and it's much better. I got rotated into theatres (finally!!!), applied for a full term position after only 5 weeks, and got the job as a scrub nurse! I have now been there for 7 months and enjoying every minute, if only I could have gone there sooner.

I continued with Slimming World and lost just over 2 stone in total. A couple of pounds back on sees me just sitting outside of target weight at the moment, but the majority of it has stayed off for just under a year. Trips to Menorca, New York, Dublin and Marbella will explain those extra stubborn pounds. I think eventually I'd love another stone off, but I'm definitely not in any rush, in fact I'm rather enjoying letting my hair down a bit for a change.

And that brings us to today. Ladies Day at Aintree, Nerja, a Eurovision Party, and a birthday (the big 3-0) are just a few things lined up for this year. Will definitely try and blog about a few of them if not all of them.

Watch this space!
